The Tragic Story of Ben's Murder "How do they celebrate Christmas while knowing they did this? How can they smile when I'm a head short? Don't they think [about] what we're going through? Holidays are the hardest time..." Holidays hold a certain emptiness for Bridget Donnellan. Every holiday season, she is painfully aware that someone is missing from her Evansville, Ind. home. Her oldest son, Benjamin Doyle was murdered on September 13, 2001. http://findbenskiller.plisweb.com Benjamin was killed two days after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The whole country was in a state of morning, but Benjamin's family's grief was doubled. The final contribution Benjamin made was to donate his organs to the Twin Towers Disaster Fund, helping to save the lives of innocent people who might otherwise have died after the attacks. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23 |
